Laboratory Services
Our Laboratory Services Department is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week providing both routine and urgent testing. The Laboratory serves all inpatient and outpatient clients ranging in age from newborns to geriatrics. The Laboratory services enable your physician to determine the cause of your illness and monitor your specific blood values. Services available include:Chemistry

The Department of Pathology at L.A. Metropolitan Medical Center offers a full spectrum of inpatient diagnostic services.Radiology
Our Radiology Department offers a wide array of services including invasive, non-invasive and therapeutic procedures. Diagnostic evaluations are provided on a scheduled or on an urgent basis to both inpatients and outpatients. Services include:Mammography

Critical Care Medicine
Our Critical Care Department offers a comprehensive range of critical care services to surgical and medical patients at L.A. Metropolitan Medical Center. Our unit is staffed with registered nurses specialized in the intensive care of medical and surgical patients.Case Management / Social Services
Our Case Management and Social Services Departments are available to assist you and your family with concerns and decisions you may face during and after an illness or hospitalization. The services we provide or arrange for include:• Discharge planning
• Arrangements for continuing care
• Home health services and /or medical equipment
• Counseling and emotional support

Rehabilitation Department
The Rehabilitation Department at L.A. Metropolitan Medical Center provides a wide range of evaluative, preventative and rehabilitative services to those with impairments in functioning. Our services are available to outpatients and inpatients, including our Geriatric Psychiatry Unit. Rehabilitative Services include:Physical Therapy
These
therapeutic services are available for patients with a wide range of
diagnoses, from musculoskeletal to
neurological.
Occupational Therapy
These
therapeutic services are available for patients whose function is impaired
by physical illness or injury, congenital or developmental disability, or
the aging process.
Speech Therapy
These
therapeutic services are available for patients whose impairment involves
speech, voice, language, cognitive, and swallowing
disorders.

Each patient receives a comprehensive evaluation, education in self-care, and an individualized treatment regimen. A multidisciplinary approach is used to facilitate improvement of our patient’s quality of life and return to optimal health and function.
